We have all come to a point in our lives where we have felt like we've reached our breaking point. Where we've felt like we couldn't take another set back or failure. Life sometimes throws stones at us with the expectation of either catching them or getting hit with them. Either way they hurt right? What can we do to find peace within ourselves to overcome getting hit so hard? How do we pick ourselves back up? Finding peace within yourself is so important in order to overcome boundaries and obstacles. You are not alone. We all experience this. The amazing, inspirational Ayana Iman (IG: @ayanaiman) shared some of her personal experiences with us finding peace within herself when faced with hard times. What are some ways, and things you do, to find peace within yourself?
Honestly, whenever possible, I take a walk in nature and allow myself to be one with my thoughts. I'm a firm believer that the sun rejuvenates our spirits and gives us energy. My solitude, nature, and prayer, are necessary tools for peace. How has it helped you emotionally, spiritually, and physically? My peace cultivating methods have helped me align my beliefs systems, with my actions. In order for me to use my maximum potential, there must be balance, less chaos, and less inner noise. When I am trying to address any issues, I am emotionally aware, spiritually connected, and physically ready to handle such tasks. These methods help with preparation. I need to affirm, "I can," and have faith, "it's possible". What advice do you have for someone who is struggling with overcoming a boundary in their life? For any challenge in your life, remember it's mostly mental. You have to accept you have the power to change your circumstances, and that it is already done. This means your current situation doesn't determine your outcome, and the life you want is possible, it is yours, you just have to take action to claim it. Write down everything, including your challenges, hopes, dreams, and wishes. Then affirm the challenges are over, and that your wishes have come true. Put them in a place you can see them everyday. Seeing them can motivate you to keep going. Faith is so important during these times, and you have to trust the process. What have you done to better yourself emotionally when dealing with hard times? I've learned to stop blaming others for my issues, and give myself room to fail. The blame game does nothing to promote growth, and only furthers the issue. However, owning up to my emotions and what caused them allows me time to reflect, and time to assess the situation without the fireworks. I can be angry, upset, or depressed, that's not the issue, I'm human. To better my emotions is accepting they're valid, but that I don't have to remain in that space. I can choose to move on and empower myself. Everything is a choice. What is your favorite quote to live by? One of my favorite quotes is my own: Affirmations without action produce no results. This keeps me fired up. When I'm having a bad day, or want to chill when I should be working, I remember the life I've affirmed for myself, and what it takes to get there. Action is always the answer. You can find more inspirational content from Ayana Iman on her website ayanaiman.com Download a copy of her e-book A Guide To Gratitude here!
